Admission Criteria

 AdmissionApplication & RegistrationFees
MBAA three year national diploma at an NQF 6 level or a bachelor’s degree qualification at an NQF 7 level is the minimum requirement. Three (3) years middle management working experience or, alternatively, five (5) years general business working experience.

Step 1: Minimum Admission Requirements

Ensure you meet the minimum admission requirements.

Step 2: Contact the Business School

Email the NMMU Business School or contact the Relationship Office by telephone on +27(0)41 504 3777 in order to request copies of the application forms and additional information about the MBA programme.

Step 3: Complete Forms

Once we have received your enquiry, our Relationship Office will send you an Academic Admissions Application Form and a Programme Selection Form. Print and complete these forms and make an additional copy of each of them.

Step 4: Certified Copies

Prepare three certified copies of:

  • Your academic qualification and academic records
  • Identity Document
  • Senior Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate (only applicable to female applicants)

Step 5: Check & Submit

Your complete application pack should consist of the following:

  • Academic Application Form (2 copies)
  • Programme Selection Form (2 copies)
  • Academic Qualifications and Records (2 certified copies)
  • Identity Document (2 certified copies)
  • Senior Certificate (2 certified copies)
  • Female applicants only: Marriage Certificate (2 certified copies)
  • Proof of Application Fee Payment

Submit the complete pack via email, registered mail, courier or personal delivery:

NMMU Business School, Graduate School, Second Avenue Campus, Second Avenue, Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.

MDP

A diploma or certificate qualification (NQF level 5) and at least three years management experience.

Step 1 : Minimum Admission Requirements

Ensure that you meet the minimum admission requirements for the programme you have selected.

Step 2 : Contact the Business School

Complete the enquiry form. Official application forms will be forwarded to you along with banking details for the payment of a non-refundable application fee.

Step 3 : Prepare Supporting Material

Prepare a copy of your Curriculum Vitae, a certified copy of your ID or passport, two ID photos (x1 print & x1 JPEG), and a certified copy of your qualification(s).

Step 4 : Submit Application Form & Supporting Materials

Your complete pack should consist of:

  • Application form;
  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • Certified copy of ID or passport;
  • Two ID Photos (X1 print & X1 JPEG);
  • Certified copies of your qualification(s);
  • Proof of payment of application fee or a company letter confirming payment of student fees;
  • Proof of address/recent utility bill; and
  • International students also need to provide a copy of a valid passport and Study Visa or Home Affairs endorsement as well as proof of SA approved medical aid or travel insurance.

 

Submit the complete pack by contacting and setting up a meeting with the relevant coordinator.

ALP

Students should have a NQF Level 5 qualification/programme plus two years' work experience or have completed the Intermediate Leadership Programme (ILP) with at least a 60% average. The candidate must either be in an entry level management position or in the process of being groomed to be in an entry level management position.

BMP

Students should have a NQF Level 5 qualification/programme and at least two years’ management experience or have completed the Intermediate Leadership Programme (ILP) with at least a 60% average.

ILP

A Grade 12 Certificate (NQF level 4), a good command of English and at least two years experience in a supervisory role.

FLP

A Grade 12 Certificate or an NQF level 4 qualification, a good command of English and at least two years’ work experience.
